Picks and Bans phase is important in a gods placement. Matchups, overall usability, ban rates, how well characters fit into team compositions and character roles are all taken into account. We wanted to give you insight into how the system works at a base level, as well as how the system varies when it comes to League matches. Matchmaking is a term used to describe how we determine which players are going to be paired up to fight. The matchmaking system tries to ensure each team has an even chance at winning any given match. It does this by pairing similarly skilled players with and against each other. The system we use is a modified version of the TrueSkill System.
The system tracks how players perform and assigns a Matchmaking Rating and a Variance score to the player. The Variance value is how confident the system is that the assigned MMR is accurate.

Joust might be the game mode for you. You can think of Joust as the little brother of Conquest. If you really consider yourself affluent in the ways of Joust, there is also a 1 v 1 mode of the game. The map is also different.
Arena mode is a lot different than Conquest in Smite, so a lot of the tips you’ll find for one won’t work for the other. While both feature 5 v 5 battles, Arena takes place in a large open coliseum with no lanes, towers or titan to defeat.
The Conquest map is comprised of three lanes each of which has two turrets and a Phoenix protecting it. Hitting them with basic attacks is the only way to destroy the towers and the Phoenix. Destroying the phoenix has the added bonus of buffing your minions in that lane, causing them to do more damage and have better armor. The enemy titan cannot be touched unless at least one Phoenix has been downed. The first team to destroy the enemy Titan wins. In between the three lanes is the Jungle.
The jungle is made up of paths that you can use to quickly move from lane to lane. There are also Buff Camps in the jungle. These buff camps have NPCS in them that when killed grant the God different bonuses to things like attack speed, attack damage, and movement speed. Tips for Victory Use the time before the game starts to prepare. Using the jungle and keeping an eye on it. Enemies can make quick work of you if they catch you unawares, and the jungle is the perfect place to do that.

My issue would be that there is too much variance, on average, with regards to divisions within matches. The problem is it doesn’t always work like that on both sides all the time. So if I queue and end up with me being top ELO at Plat 1, with two Plat 3 players and two Gold 3 players and the enemy end up being all Plat 2 or 3, chances are they are going to win even if my team might have the slight average ELO advantage.
I get annoyed when I see Gold 1 players in my matches and I’m up against regular Diamond Vs, and I can only imagine Masters players get annoyed when they see me in their matches against other Masters.

You should never be forced a loss based on a fair and balanced system. I’m as equally upset that it is potentially true and that this guy tried to justify it. It feels rigged in that sense haha. You get punished for playing good The matchmaking system doesn’t try and pair you with people your own level, it pairs you with a “balanced” team.
Basically you can be placed with a 7 year old scrub who has a crap mmr and YOU if you have a good mmr are supposed to balance him out.

My team is Chang’e solo me , a Poesidon who spends his time at the inactive fire giant trying to hit it with basics and abilities, a Neith who roams and dies, a Bastet jungle who doesn’t jungle and an Agni who thinks he’s a 1v2 carry machine? However trying to gain more users by putting noobs up against ranked players only to get pub stomped by closed beta and pc players makes absolutely no sense. In fact it will not attract a new userbase but will only deter new customers. Whoever thought about doing this on a new release game on a popular console is obviously incompetent.
